Rides: 2016 Road Glide CVO
Started on scooters and dirt bikes around 1970. Then a few different “Rice” Bikes into the early 80’s. Life became expensive and toy’s were gone. Fast forward 30 years, My wife Suzanne “Spunky” and I made a bucket list, Harley was first. Bought a 95 Ultra, took the Riders Edge class (one of the best things that I have done) and began slowly. Joined the HOG chapter and met my new family!!! I knew a Harley would be fun, but did not realize how much until we became active in the best HOG Chapter in Georgia! Proud to say that Atlanta HD and HOG are our home! “Pelican” has to be explained if you don’t know that story.
Rides: 2007 Ultra Classic
Started riding a motorcycle when I was 9 or 10 years old on a Yamaha mini endure 60 JT2 (which I still have in the basement). Had several other 125, 250’s as I grew older. My first street riding experience was on my dad’s Honda 450 when I was 13 as I would sneak it out and ride the then slow streets of Douglasville. Once our boys graduated from college my wife Barbara and I stopped by Harley Davidson of Atlanta and purchased a used 1999 FXR2 Super Glide which I rode for about 3 years before I passed it along to Barbara in 2014 after she took the riders edge class and liked riding solo. In December of 2013 I purchased my current ride a 2007 Ultra Classic. In the summer 2014 I became a road captain and have enjoyed every mile I have ridden with this group. The Atlanta chapter has a lot of great people in the group of which Barbara and I have became good friends with.

Rides: 85 Wide Glide, 62 Panhead, 84 Sportster, 88 FLHTC
For those of you that don’t know me. I have been riding motorcycles for a while now. I first rode with Jimmy on the back of a Honda when I was 15, married him at 16 and then had Monica at 17. Whew that went by fast. I loved riding on the back. We went everywhere: 85th Harley-Davidson anniversary, 90th, 95th, 100th and the 105th. We had many good times and met and have many HOG friends. Really I should say we have a very large HOG family. On one of our long trips I started thinking about what would I do if something happened to Jimmy, how would I get the bike home? So I decided to take the MSF class and back then (1989) it was 5 consecutive weekends in August—very hot. When I passed I was so excited. Jimmy customized his 1985 Wide Glide for me and I still have it along with our 62 Panhead, 84 Iron-head Sportster, 88 FLHTC, 99 Pro Street Custom motorcycle. I have been in the Atlanta Chapter since the beginning and have had the best time doing things that I love. If you have any questions about HOG just call me, I’ll be at Harley-Davidson of Atlanta (23 years now).
Rides: 2016 Softail Deluxe
I started riding on the streets in 2002 and it was on a Suzuki 185. After riding all summer behind my husband’s Harley, I moved up to a Yamaha VStar 1100. Two years later I got my first Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a Deluxe. Since then I’ve had a couple more Harley’s and have come full circle back to a 2016 Deluxe. Through our H.O.G. chapter I have met so many amazingly cool people and formed some life-long, family kind of friendships. I’ve been able to travel many miles together with our chapter members and have more fun memories (and stories) than a person should be able to have! Take a look at our calendar and pick a ride or social event to attend. You’ll find a great group of people who all share an interest in riding – Come join us!

Rides: 2016 CVO Limited, 92 Heritage , 67 Shovelhead
I’ve been around motorcycles since my early childhood, my uncle Carl rode an Indian and my dad had a Harley-Davidson. I’ve ridden several bikes over the years including 11 Harley-Davidsons (I still have 3 of them…sentimental reasons I suppose). My bike that gets the most riding in these days is the ’16 CVO Limited, even though I like to get each of them out from time to time. My 2 antique Harley-Davidsons will have much more visibility this year since I’ve pledged to bring them out more often for their birthdays (1 turns 50 and the other turns 25 this year). I’m affectionately known around the chapter as “Chaos”, ask me how I got that road name sometime when you see me around, or you’ll most likely see a chaos moment that speaks for itself from time to time. Our Harley-Davidson of Atlanta and Atlanta Chapter H.O.G. are both the best you’ll find anywhere! Check out our calendar, come to some events, or rides, and find out for yourself! You will not be disappointed!

I should start by saying if you told me that I would be a biker one day, I would have called you CRAZY! I grew up and lived (until the past 5 years) in a small town on Sand Mountain in North Alabama. I was never around bikes or anything of the sort. I was always under the impression that all bikers were rough, rowdy and mean!In the spring 2004 I took Riders Edge and got my first bike, a Honda Shadow, a few days later. I finally went from the Honda to a Harley Sportster 883L, then to a Wide Glide, and I’m currently on my second Street Glide. We moved to Douglasville GA in 2009 and rode with a few groups here and there. Then, Jesse bought his Street Glide in Feb 2012 from Atlanta Harley-Davidson, so we went to our first Chapter meeting. From the moment we met everyone that night, we felt like we just belonged! Everyone was so nice and welcoming towards us.Needless to say, I’m very thankful for this chapter, each and every member. I look forward to being your Ladies of Harley officer this year. I have a lot of things planned for us! Let’s make it a year to remember!
Rides: 2007 Sotftail Heritage
I’ll start by saying my moto was never will I ever ride a motorcycle. Well we know how that turned out. I took the riders edge class in 2013 (in which I highly recommend to everyone!!!). I wanted to at least know how to move the bike for Mike in case he wasn’t able. After I took the class I still didn’t ride for a year. Mike and I took his 99 FXR2 to an abandoned parking lot to practice (I rode in the car and he rode the bike). You see I was still not going to ride by myself. Then it became spring and I saw all the ladies riding and having fun. Soon after that I went on my first lunch ride and I was hooked!! I rode that bike for about a year. In May of 2015 I rode down to PCB for thunder beach and on the way back we stopped by a dealership in Dothan AL just to “look” for a bigger bike for me. Well now I have my very own 2007 Softtail Heritage that I currently ride. The Atlanta chapter is full of great people that I now consider part of my family. If you ever need anything these folks are always there. I have had many great experiences that I wouldn’t trade for the world. Come check us out.
Ladies of Harley Officer
Ever since I was a young teenager I had the urge to be with bikers. My heart would leap when a “rumbling” of bikes went by and envied the women on the back. (Back in the dark ages before women rode their own). After a divorce my “wild” Side woke up and I got my first 1993 Sportie, only to realize that it looks easier to ride than it was (for me). I followed up by purchasing a small Honda 100, which I could maneuver ok, but I had to look at that Sportie sitting next to it–just didn’t feel right. Well, after laying the Sportie down and going for my second set of motorcycle riding classes, I acquired my license, along with my fears more vividly. So as much as I admire my fellow women riders, I chose to keep the roads safer by being “chauffeured”! I still have the Sportie, to hold for my grandson who has only 12 more years before he can ride!

Rides: 2004 Road King Classic
Took a ride on my first Harley in 1963 as a small boy in East Point, Georgia. Then later, on an old panhead chopper, when I was about thirteen. In 1979 and 1980 I worked for the Rat’s Hole Custom Chopper Show in Daytona Beach as an airbrush artist when they had an actual store. At that time I rode a 1975 KZ400. In 1988 I finally bought a Sportster and joined the Cincinnati HOG chapter. I rode with the Nashville Music City HOG chapter in 1990 after stripping down and customizing my old Electra Glide. I briefly joined the Atlanta Chapter in 1999 when I was riding an old XR1000 Iron Head, then came back to stay in 2008 when I bought a 2009 Sportster and a 2009 Super Glide. These days I ride a 2004 Road King Classic named Ruby. I think Ruby and I will be sticking together for a good while as she’s the jealous sort.
Rides: Electra Glide Ultra Classic
I remember the first time I ever rode a motorcycle was when I was 11 years old. It was on the back of my Daddy’s Harley. Been in love with motorcycles ever since. From Allstates, Cushmans, Yamahas, Hondas to Harleys. Today I ride a 09 Ultra and love it. We have a great bunch of members in our chapter and it makes my responsibilities easy. Thank you all. You get out of it what you put in it!!

Rides: 2008 Road King Classic
I feel that Harley-Davidson motorcycles are a part of my heritage. I grew up listening to my uncles share their riding exploits and I shared their excitement. I ride an ’08 Road King Classic and have been a H.O.G. member since 2008. I have formed some life-long friendships in the Atlanta Chapter.
